    Whisky Tartans

    Stumbled on to the Johnnie Walker tartan looking for something else...played around and found a Drambuie tartan and even a Drambuie hunting tartan...and a Glenronach tartan...and a Glenlivt tartan and a DeWar's tartan....even a generic Scotch Whisky tartan...

    Others??

    One would hope these whisky brands with tartans would be hanging their tartans in pubs etc?

    The Drambuie tartans are tempting for me...loved that stuff WAY too much...

    I've heard that a few times... rule of thumb, though is that it's 2 drinks. Without fail.

    Perhaps when they named this drink BLACK TARTAN, they could not "decide" on a tartan
    Johnnie Walker = Johnnie Walker Tartan
    Irish = Irish National Tartan
    Drambuie = Drambuie Tartan
    Kahlua = Hawwian Tartan

    Of course, maybe it was because after you "obeyed DERIK, no "CLAN' ID. to embarass.

    My Whisky Tartans

    Being in the Scotch whisky business and owning a Johnnie Walker Kilt and trousers myself. The brands you mentioned are the only that I know. They only other would be Dalwhiinie and Oban these are town or district tartans and do not have any thing to do with the whiskies made there.

    These are pics of me in my Johnnie Walker Tartan kilt.

    I've actually got some Dewars in my ancestry ... might have to look into that.
    *adds it to the continually growing list of tartans I want kilts in*

    Ron,

    I know what you mean about liking the drink as well as the various tartans out there that are associated with spirit companies.

    Here is the Drambuie tartan.
