I'm most sorry to hear of your loss, Arlen. Our pets really become a loved member of our families. They can really teach humans what unconditional love means. I'm sure that one day you will see Evinrude again.
We have a Siamese cat named Marcellus that we've had for ten years. He follows us around everywhere we go in the house, lays on our laps for purring and petting sessions, and sleeps on the bed with us at night. And of course he gets turkey today. We will miss him terribly when his time comes.

Arlen, my deepest condolences for you and Diane. My cat Furball, who looked a lot like Evinrude, was 12 when something similar happened to him. Although we know they're for the best, those decisions are never easy.

I am sorry for your loss, too. We have a cat, and dogs and a rabbit, and all the lizards and geckos that want to live in our yard. It is heartbreaking to lose any of them. Now the field mice- I helped them to re-locate.
Sincerely, though, my heart goes out.
All the best.

Oh Arlen, how awful! Poor Evinrude.
Our pets are intimate parts of our family, and it always a horrible decision to be made, but it is a kindness to them, and would be cruelly selfish to keep them suffering.
I've had to do this many times over the years, and I still break down and cry- stiff upper lip be damned.
Just remember all the great times, and be happy he was with you for as long as he was.
I don't believe for a minute that he would want you to sell stuff, just to keep him dragging along .
I reckon St. Francis has a special play ground for our pets, until we finally come to collect them. (Hey! I never pretended to be a great Theologian, but it's how I feel)
My thoughts are with you & Diane

I'm sorry to hear that Arlen. I lost my cat Trouble last year at this time. He went quickly; I couldn't even get him to the vet, so I didn't have to make that decision.
They really do become family.

My heartfelt condolences, Arlen. As we have 3 feline rulers in pur home, I know the attachment. Keep smiling for the wonderful memories of Evinrude as you remember him.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
