My brother-in-law just recently saw his first Rugby match (in the flesh, not on TV). He was a former Big-10 football (USA style) line backer (some 50+ years ago), and was stunned! He remarked afterwards that US football players are wimps compared to the Rugby players! I just smiled, (having spent my formative years in Ireland) and told him I agreed. (I never played Rugby, just Cricket, and a little Football (soccer).

Can't remember if I said, but I've got some cousins who farm just outside Wyndham.

I think that the "Celtic Fringe" will be ardently hoping that the Kiwis can make it a Triple Humiliation following on from the successes of the Wallabies and the 'Boks in thrashing the English.
It kind of reminds me of the Stereophonics' song "As long as we beat the English...".
I think you were probably right. But it's kind of sad that so many people have to bask in other peoples glory because they have none of their own.

seriously - no offence to the English, but NZer's would rather play the "celtic Fringes" than have a boring 1980's style, forwards do all the work game.
The "celts" attempt to play a similar game to us running open and rampant rugby, its just that ours is more polished, and fitness may be higher in the NZ camp.
Still the Munster game was a cracker...
oh and your right, as long as we beat the english, thats all that really matters...

What do you make of the RWC draw?
Rubbish as usual, as rugby is still a minority game in the globe and for it to be called a world cup, well...its like the cricket world cup, really there only a handful of teams featured in every semi, quarter final etc...
Looks like the Scots have some work to do...
france with us, thats good, will give them a dishing and then probably lose the semi to australia...lol
I see that the yanks and the canooks arent even on here yet, need to qualify?
I always support Georgia or some other minority team thats going to get flailed, because at least they give it a fair whack and every now and again give the pro's something to be embarrassed about...
