Then on Sat morning we were off again ... Wales were playing rugby against Australia at the millenium stadium. We set off fairly early on the bus and walked up several country lanes (that Hamish knows well .. in the middle of the pic is the long and winding road that he named) .. we went to a little country pub to get a seat and have some cheese n pickle sarnies n a beer or two b4 hand
It was cold and quite foggy when we set off but it got a bit more clear as we went along
En route
Then we were in the warm with a nice seat in front of the tele ready for the match ... they dont normally have a tele in the pub ... its the landlords personal tele which he brings down 4 occasions like this. We were nice and early .. by the time the match started the pub was heaving .. the people come out of nowhere .. its a fab atmosphere
For any1 who watches rugby heres a pic from the tele. The result was Wales 21 Australia 18 the whole pub had another beer after full time
In the toilets of the men and ladies they have computer print outs on the walls of loads of jokes .... nothing o t t ... took a pic of some Tommy Cooper jokes for anyone who knows Tommy Cooper or would like to know about the man. He was a brilliant magician but in his shows he always messed up his tricks and would have everyone in histerics over it and then at the end pull off something about the trick u dont expect. He was a great entertainer/comedian n brill magician.
Hope u enjoy this
A pic on wall by where we sat with the pub at the back
Sun morning dawned and we headed over the syle right by our house into the church yard ..
We had volunteered to help our friends serve mince pies and mulled wine at the end of the evning service because it was the first sunday of advent
This is the Church we back on to ... it has just started celebrating its 900th Year on where it has stood ...
We started taking the portable cooker from the church hall over and all the bits and pieces needed just b4 the morning service finished. We were setting up at the bottom of the bell tower.
It was very cold .. we waited until the congregation came out
Only a few more pics to go ..
This pic is from the the bottom of the bell tower about 45min b4 the evening service was starting .. We shut the big door in front of us while the service was on so we could warm up and prepare the mulled wine and mince pies
Then I had to go back home and get something Elaine had forgotten so took this pic on the way back ...
