I thought I had got over the buying of fabric and would just be sewing kilts as and when I needed to - then I saw the artificial suede material and just had to buy some - even though I don't wear brown - but it will go with green - and it should look really good.

    Hopelessly addicted here.

I don't know that I'll ever be done buying kilts. I've hit some slow spots, and will again. I'll likely have to sell some off due to size. I can't emulate Hamish. Even with a lottery windfall, I would have a limit imposed by my interest.

I don't think I could imagine trying to find the space to store 43 kilts. I've got the fabric to make two more to add to the two that I have with plans to get a couple other fabrics so that I maybe have 6 kilts to revolve through. This'll help reduce the wear and tear on my two pairs of shorts and 4 pants.

That wouldn't help me. As the family genealogist, I've traced direct ties to more than 75 clans. And as each clan usually has more than one tartan, plus district tartans for the clans, it gets ridiculous pretty quickly.

Do not fight. Do not object. Surrender. Surrender to the kilt!

Besides, it only becomes a problem if you find yourself singing "Brigadoon" on old, historic bridges and when grocery shopping....
