Argyll- with or without vest?

I wear a "vest" depending on the "look" I want & the Jacket.

1, Tweeds ( plain colored wool or sweater vest)
A. "casual Dress" = no vest or sweater vest

B. "Business" & dressier = Wool vest
II. Crail/Argyle = Always with the matching vest.

I prefer to go without the waistcoat.

When I was growing up, I always wanted waistcoats with my suits, and they were a bit difficult to find. I recall watching my mother make my first one when I was a little kid.
Now, about thirty years later, they are starting to sell waistcoats at stores: Target , for example.

As much as I love wearing a waistcoat, I do have to admit that the hot weather out here can make it tuff to wear one if I have to be out and about.
