Pictures That Others Post in Threads

In posts that contain a good many pictures, such as those from Pour1Malt, I've noticed that I will be able to see the first few posts of pics, but then I will see a little box with a red X instead for further posts in the same thread. Is there something wrong with my pc settings that causes this?

I know it can have a lot to do with the site hosting the image.

For instance Kevin Kinney uses a site that sometimes is works and sometimes doesn't. When the image isn't available I get the little red X.
