The thing is, what would have happened if you lifted a ladies dress/skirt? Why should it be different when women do it to us?

It shouldn't. And it really isn't - it's just that society as a whole no longer brings up ladies OR gentlemen. However there is just a far greater expectation for a man to behave like a gentleman than for a lady to act, well, lady-like. No one gets taught manners anymore, but we just seem to forgive and overlook inconsideration more I think when it comes from a woman.

And yes, Mr. Kilt, you both look great. Kudos to you for braving the cold to even GO to the party, let alone wear a kilt. My parents live in Lethbridge and they've been telling me how "wonderful" the weather has been lately.

Thanks guys! It's hard to tell how to react to a situation like a kilt check. I feel I took the "high road" with both people. Yes, if I had done the same thing to the woman I'd have probably been arrested, but to be honest I wasn't bothered by it. The male coworker, however, was a different story. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say for himself tomorrow at work.

Phogfan...the tartan is a small-sett Irish National 9-yd tank.. It's by far my favorite kilt.

As for the temp being cold...yes it was, but it isn't that much worse than what I work in every day. My latest job is working in a cold storage warehouse for a meat-packing company. It's -27C with a -35C windchill inside the building.

    Al, you're a braver man than I.

I had a couple chances to go kilted this weekend but -45C with the winds we're having is just too much for me!

bravo Al, a good parlay to the lifters and a dashing couple in the pic.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
