God bless Pakistan!
Not only are they great for low-cost Highland wear -- my Black Watch kilt, PC jacket and waistcoat, rabbit fur sporran, all come to mind, not to mention a lot of Jerry's SWK gear... but they're great for other nice goods too!
I just received a new pair of black, leather chaps for winter motorcycle riding (that's how I get to work every day) and a black, leather vest too. The chaps ran me $32 from a company out of New Jersey but everything is from Pakistan. There were even these really cool tags written in Arabic in the pockets. lol.
I'm soooo happy now! The ride to work this morning was COZY with my new chaps even though it was -1C (30F)! I have leather pants too, but since I am expected to look business-like, with chaps I can happily wear them over top of my dress pants and remove them at work.

Congrats on your new chaps. When I worked in Kuwait most every tailor there that made the Arab men's dishdashas were Pakinstanis.

It isn't, actually. It's an E-Bay merchant that goes by the handle "excelbiker" and the shop's name is "My Leather Mall" http://stores.ebay.com/My-Leather-Mall
Fantastically cheap prices. I mean.. $32 for chaps? C'mon!

Thanks Shus
I have been wanting some chaps for my bike, but all the local stores the prices start in the low $220's, a custom latherer from Madrid, NM (Wild Hogs) Quoted me $375 for basic black no embellishments. Needless to say I passed.
Gotta love this forum! A great deal on Chaps from Pakistan, by wait of a Canadian teacher from Japan! whoda thunk.....Sush how dit that PC fit when you got it? Was it the size you ordered? I ask cause I am going to need one in the near future but I have time to order one from the guy you bought yours from. ith:

Oh, jeez yeah! That PC jacket's da bomb! Barathea wool.. Fits well. Standard suit jacket sizing pretty much so a 42R means 42R. The waistcoat's a little too short, but if I hike up the kilt a wee bit, it's fine. I would definitely recommend Geoffrey of Pakistan again.

You gotta quit shopping at places with 'hog' in the store name!
Any half *ssed bike shop with a Tucker Rocky or Mustang catalog in it should have, or can order you a good pair of plain leather chaps for under $100! And like 95% of all leather goods, they likely will be from Pakistan
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Oh Such a great thread! New Chaps, New Jacket, New Kilt and PC! I'm in heaven!
BTW I never frequent shops that say Hog, I was just using that as a locater for what Madrid NM was; it's where the film (Wild Hogs) was shot. I learned a long time ago that good bike can be had very reasonably, but not at a dealer. A bike's age has little to do with it's ridability, (IE a 8 year old one with 8,000 miles will do just as well as a brand new one with 1 mile) and lastly HD usually means High Dollar. Right now I'm riding a 98 Suzuki 800 intruder that I picked up with less than 12,000 total miles for about $2300, runs great!
My mistake on the chaps was looking at the local "named" shops and not my Mechanic. Oh well, live and learn (again). But this ebay shop has some GREAT deals!
