The Home (Hume) clan are often accused of deserting the battlefield at Flodden and one suggestion was that someone shouted their battle cry A Home! A Home! A Home! - so they all went home. Don't you believe it. We were true Border Reivers at heart and went off to plunder the English baggage train!

MacDonald Per Mare Per Terras (By Sea By Land) As they were Lord of the Isles. I beleive the Canadian motto A Mari usque ad mare from sea to sea was from Sir John A Macdonald.
Or Clan Ranald My Hope is Constant in Thee. Reputable uttered of by the Bruce at Bannockburn. and giving Macdonalds the prefered place of honour on the right of the line of Battle.

The motto for the only "clan" to which I ever swore loyalty: This We'll Defend.
Bonus points to anyone who knows what I'm talking about.

Kerr Family Motto
Kerr - Sero sed Serio - Late but in earnest
Allegedly a contingent of the family showed up late to a pivotal battle (date and location escape me at the moment) but ended up being the deciding factor in the outcome.

I admit that I didn't read all 239 posts to date, but I haven't seen Clan Matheson's motto, "Fac Et Spera" (Do And Hope). I guess the Matheson's were a "leap first, think later" group of folks. That may explain why they were largely landless by the end of the 13th century.
