Kilts spotted at Portland Sumphonic Choir Concert
We ushered at the PSC Wintersong concert last night. I spotted two of the choir members wearing kilts, and looking very sharp. The Capt. was sorry he had worn pants. One of these days he'll learn.

That's great! Maybe we should have a sub-forum for kilt sightings!

I'll be down in Portland for the Holidays with the in-laws. Hopefully, you'll see me in a kilt also. Are you going to the Saturday Kilt night in Beaverton on the 27th?

Every time I've not worn a kilt I've regretted it. Often someone will mention that I'm not wearing one or someone else wears one. Always wear a kilt even if you don't really feel like it.

Our High School Wears Scottish uniforms, complete with kilts. I remember the parade of lights two years ago; lightweight kilts in 3 Degree F temperatures.
I have to admire the band for that, even if I am an orchestra kid!

Think about it. Many yards of fabric wrapped around the lower body core, and heavy socks to within a few inches of the garment. It's actually a pretty good heat storage unit - as opposed to polyester pants fitting tightly across the thighs. Congrats for being an orchestra kid. We are several generations of orchestra kids.

Actually, with our school's budget, all they could afford were 5-yard, 11 oz. Kilts!
Yay for the orchestra! I'm 4th chair, first violin, and always improving!
