    My first Double-Box Pleated kilt

    Hello all...

I've been missing in action from XMTS these past couple of months. So I haven't kept up on reading the threads and the exciting things going on here. I've a lot to catch up on.

    How's everybody doing?

Well, let me backtrack on my projects and show you my attempt at the double-box pleat... I was so inspired by Lady Chrystel's creations. This wool fabric being a plaid, I had to, make sure that the lines match up... (could be tricky)...

I made this one in late October and just in time for a square dance convention where I wore (and showed off) my kilt creations during the whole weekend. I'd wear a different kilt in the AM/PM and evening for 2 days/nights. LOL

(Oh, what's this I read about Barb's book addendum being available now? Where can I get it?)

    My latest and greatest...

    I love the waistband...

Oh and a closer look at the stitched pleating section + belt/buckle, waistband...

I wish I were as talented at Kiltmaking as you are. That really is a beautiful Kilt.

Arlen, thank you . I'm lucky that the fabric is beautiful. Got that at the G Street Fabrics store in the area last summer (the fabric is not cheap). I finally got around to working on it, after gaining some kiltmaking experience with denims, PV's and polyesters...
