    Christmas Choir Kilt

Just thought I would post up what I wore today for the Christmas Choir.

Since I wore the cummerbund, I had no belt for the sporran, had to use chains.

We did two numbers Angels We Have Herd On High and It came upon a Midnight Clear. I wanted to sing Ave Marie, but the music director snagged it for herself, so we did a duet of Oh Little Town All in all a real nice Service. Get to do it all over again plus a candle lighting on Christmas Eve.

    Cheers and

    Merry Christmas To All!

The choir director just told us to be Christmas festive, I was the only kilted one, but then I usually am the only guy in church wearing a kilt. I taught a class this fall, mostly in a kilt.

Looks great! What tartan is that? I know it, but I can't place it.

Its a SWK Gordon, My Great Great Grandfather (mothers side)was a Gordon, he married a Cherokee, and ministered to the "savages" in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Somewhere in my mom's stuff is a picture of him, big old beard wearing his Highland Kit. I got his hair

I got my grandfather's hair as well- from both of them! It was red once... now it's more of a brown. My beard is still really red though!

Oh, and thanks! I knew I knew that tartan, and it was getting on my nerves trying to place it.
