    Piper Balloon

Can anyone find out anything about the owners of this Baloon or its location? Both myself and Brooster B1 will try to invite it to the ABQ Balloon Fiesta next year. No more fitting Balloon for launching the "Saltire" can be found........It will be visiting Albuquerque during that time WON'T IT?

    Ask and ye shall receive:

‘Pipy’ the Scottish Piper piloted by Muir Moffat
    registration: G-PIPY (cn 3815)
    aviation link: http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/G-PIPY.html
    the balloon maker's website: http://www.cameronballoons.co.uk/cgi...level=0&page=3
an even cooler picture of G-PIPY: http://www.airteamimages.com/41545.html

an article about the pilot (Muir Moffat): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-Scotsman.html

OK, so if that doesn't help track this balloon down for you, I dont know what will. Good Luck!!

What a cool balloon. We can't always afford to "invite" a special shape balloon to our hotair balloon fest, but this would certainly be a fun addition.
