I'm amazed the SWK hose fit him at all. They're stretched tight -- and slightly stretched out, too -- across his calves. We really need to just get some custom hose knit for him, but maybe this next year *crosses fingers* I was thinking about getting a pair of the Gaelic Themes (I believe is the brand USA Kilts sells) for myself to test out. As far as a good purchase for him, I've been eyeing the Lewis hose from the Scottish Tartans Museum. Not the in-stock line, but the other slightly more expensive one that they make to fit bigger calves and legs.

The Lewis are really nice hose, Cynthia; I hope you all are able to get some. You might talk to Rex about the fit of those because I think he has the same kind of hose issues, and he had a pair.

The fold over at the top are really, really neat.
    Good luck.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

How did I miss a post about shoes?

    I am somewhat of a shoe-o-phile.

My wife complained when we got married because I had about three times the number of shoes she had. I have a firm policy that I get the right shoes for the activity I'm engaged in. Therefore, I have several pairs of safety shoes for work, a pair of hiking boots, a pair of combat boots (for outdoor work), a pair of shoes like the ones you just bought (I refer to them as engineer shoes), golf shoes, and the list goes on-and-on. Of course, lets not forget my ghillie brogues.
