Christmas Eve Weather
While many of us are enjoying a white Christmas Eve, some of us are not. We're experiencing the first Christmas Eve thunderstorm that I can remember.
Only in the South. We do things differently around here.
Merry Christmas!

Aye, that we do. It didn't get over twenty five, Monday and tonight it is 50 degrees. Christmas may reach 60! I would not trade it for a White Christmas.
Merry Christmas!

Just had one of the best Christmas Eve presents EVER... after 3 1/2 DAYS of no electricity in our home, the power came on this evening!!!!! Too bad we have to wait for the water tank to heat back up to wash clothes and take showers!
It's up to 60 degrees in the house now and subjectively feels too hot (after hovering between 45-52 degrees lately). Did have the wood-stove insert going. Got the well pump going w a generator for cold showers. It was a good family-time, all together in the one room w heat, playing board-games during the daylight hours, reading w flashlights after night-fall, and staying under the covers until daylight, since it was tough to do anything till you could see. Anyway, a Christmas Eve for our record book!

God bless all those who gave up Christmas Eve with their families to get the power supply fixed.
The Christmas Day weather here is mild and slightly damp, 10/10 cloud, everything is very quiet - not that we get a lot of traffic but when there is none - oh - one boy on a bicycle - but all is still really quiet.

In the space of half an hour the sky has cleared and the sun at noon is pouring in through the french windows that lead onto the conservatory so I can hardly see the monitor.
This pc is most often used in the evenings so the daytime lighting is not all that important.
I think I will go out in the garden to soak up some sunlight whilst it is available.
