Ron,

What a great Christmas story, sounds similar to my summer kilted story while I was working for the Secret Service. My boss's father retired from the The Bureau of Engraving and Printing and is married to a feisty Irish woman. I walked into their house and as my boss was introducing my co-worker his mother shouted out kilt check,

and she's in her late sixties! Oh, and she even gestured for the check!

A few weeks later we had a family dinner together and his mother was disappointed that I was not kilted.

The husband was a character as well, I heard the story of going him back to work after a few beers and the crew printing the new $15 bill

they were printing $5's before lunch and were doing a run of $10's after lunch and somebody forgot to change the dies!

That is probably the best response to a kilted man, save the sixty-some year old lady yelling "kilt check". That just warms me heart.

Sounds like the Rover car factory in the 80s that spent an afternoon producing four door hatchbacks, because the guys on one side of the line were fitting side panels for a three door and the ones on the other side were fitting side panels for a five door. No-one would take responsibility for telling the other what was happening!

Ron, have I mentioned to you that you are one of my biggest sources of inspiration as far as dress goes? I love the red hose with the blue kilt! I would never have thought of that.
