Yeah, she didn't see that one coming.
That was another life ago, when it seemed more rewarding to "teach someone a lesson" rather than generate some sort of change or other result. Sometimes there is really only so much you can do, and one can often get many miles out of having the grace to say in-shah-allah, if it is God's will, and malesh if it's not.

I've had so many of those types of vengeance situations backfire or go very, very wrong that I now try as hard as I can to let them go. The worse situations usually come from expressing rage and anger that then comes right back at you. I figure it will all work out one way or another in the end.

Kiltman - I am so sorry to hear you and the Mrs. are both stranded in Seattle! I hope your luck turns and you find yourself among family sooner rather than later. If its any consolation, our neck of the woods is hip deep in the white stuff and it seems I have exchanged my college teaching job for one as the full-time snow removal staff here at Poplar Cottage.
Happy Anniversary!

Good news, we made it to Sacramento sans luggage. Southwest even put on an extra flight to get us all out of Seattle (well, they didn't want to keep such rabble in Seattle–I'll have to see if I can write a tune called "Rabble in Seattle"). Alaska Airline shut down for yet a second day and didn't even want to help with finding it.
Thanks Phil for the concern.

I'm glad you made it out of SeaTac, Kiltman, even if your luggage hasn't yet. Have a great Christmas!

No luggage? Sounds like an excellent excuse for more kilts!
Safe journeys my friend.

We're headed back to Spokane. That would not be a reason to add to this thread, but on the way through security one of the agents made a comment on my sporran. It turns out she was raised in Scotland and is very proud of it. Once again something really good happened because of what I was wearing.
By the way, they upgraded Mrs. Kiltman and I to first class all the way!

Now if only they would come home with you and shovel out your walk and driveway - THAT would really be customer service!
Welcome Home!
