Aye, Retro Red and I have similar sporrans.
Tell you what, I paid dear for mine (about $150) and that price looks low even for ebay. You can have any two of price, quality, or service.
Got mine from leathersporran.co.uk in Scotland
I am amazed and pleased that there are dimensions included...most unusual for sporran vendors and very refreshing. Only fear is this is a cheapo knockoff at the price. Maybe leathersporran had some overstock this outfit bought...who knows.
Have had no problems with the pin catching cloth. Biggest problem is what to do with it when opening the sporran. Always seems to slip away and be dangling by the chain. Then I have to pull it up and "thread the needle" to reassemble it all.
I like the look, which is why I bought mine. But I find myself wearing it infrequently.
But no, the pin's not a problem with the fabric.

I'd say by the look of it the ebay sporran is a cheap knock off of the sporrans on
www.leathersporran.co.uk
I've seen these at a highland games in the summer, and they really did look cheap up close, as Ron says you can have two of Price, Quality, and Service, it puts me in mind of the old saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."
Just my opinion, but I'd rather save my money for the quality sporran.

The one on eBay looks like they took a regular sporran and just attached a pin and chain to it. I know P1M wears one from www.leathersporran.co.uk and it loos great.
