As an avid B 5 fan I hope they don't

The first four seasons were absolutely amazing and I suspect a new series wouldn't have the same epic scope, intimate drama, and sense of wonder.

    Cheers

And thats why we like you Jamie, always a unique look at a well done series. Have no fear, I doubt that Bab-5 will be back any time soon, to recent in peoples memory, now recycles form the 60's thats another story....

Lets see, beyond the Time Tunnel, what other 60's Sci-Fi show could they revive...The Invaders for sure, The Prisoner, and of course the back to the future version of Star-Trek; any others?

Agreed 100%. Then again, I have dreams of doing a reimagined Star Blazers as my big hollywood dream.....

Anyone remember the British shows "U.F.O." or "Space 1999"? My apologies to those of you who are British, as all of your shows are "British", but I'm posting from North America, where those particular shows were a little rarer. I know, it's kind of like referring to "Canadian Bacon" when ALL bacon would be Canadian when you're in Canada.

I was disappointed when Space 1999 wasn't rerun in 1999.

I'm not too sure about Space 1999, but I think U.F.O. could be "reimagined" the way BSG was.

    Space 1999

I was a Space 1999 addict when it was first on. I even have my original shoulder "patch" that you could order. I also have the entire series on VHS.

    Ah, the good old days...

There was another British series, a children’s one I think, called the Tomorrow People. Something similar to the current Heroes series on TV.

I love the new and old BSG's. I was a big fan of the original so wasn't sure about how they could redo it but I think they did an excellent job of making a few nods to the original while telling their own stories.

The only thing missing is Jane Seymour. (sigh...)

And someone suggested remaking The Prisoner. I doubt they could get away with a show today that never really explains what's going on or gives you any answers.

    Unless they called it "LOST"

And does anyone remember the moon buggy from Space 1999?

When I was young we actually had a real one of these. It was a very cool vehicle. I think somebody still makes something similar.

I am big fan of the Battlestar Galactica too -- when they moved the show to Sundays (from SciFi Fridays) -- I lost contact with that season. Bummer... I want to reconnect before the final episodes. At this point though I know the final 5. One of the best sci-fi drama stories! Absolutely gripping.

Stargate Atlantis-------- what a SHAME that the series is ending-- only after 5 seasons. :-(((((

Farscape --- UGH, another great sci-fi series that ended prematurely -- I can console myself by watching the Peacekeeper Wars movie... But I was so happy to see Erin Sun and Crichton get absorbed into Stargate SG-1.

Lexx -- whatever happened to this wonderfully weird show? I liked it!

Firefly --- needs to be resurrected! I love that show.

Babylon 5 -- I wish they'd make another movie. Unfortunately, it peaked with the Shadows and the Vorlons duking it out.

Startrek -- I want one that's set further into the future.

Dr. Who/Torchwood --- can't wait to see the new episodes!
