Scooby and I are now confirmed and his mother will be joining us for the evening. We are bringing, at Scooby's request, a batch of Punchnep from our Celtic Folklore Cooking book. I don't know whether you can find references online or if you will have to wait and be surprised.

Regarding Burns Poems and Songs
There was a time when every Lady and Gent had a "party piece" something they could recite or sing.
Any attendees for our supper are welcome to bring a Burns piece to perform/recite (you do not have to memorized it and can read it if you wish)
Cheers

Once at Montevalle follow the signs to the Old Mill. I ask that all drivers
respect the speed limits posted (15 MPH). As we our guests of this rather nice community we want to make sure to be respectful. The Old Mill is a large building overlooking a pond (the one with a big water wheel!)
The two hotels in Scotts Valley are
The Hilton
http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hote...ornia/index.do
Best Western
http://www.bestwesterncalifornia.com...scotts-valley/
There are a number of hotels to be found either in nearby Santa Cruz and a couple near Boulder Creek in the opposite direction.
Cheers

We traded PMs a few weeks ago about something for the younger set to do as part of the festivities, have you firmed up your thoughts on that yet? I downloaded a complete works when I first was thinking of this, I'll have to find something for myself as well.
Right now though, I need to get back to the half pleated kilt laying on my dining room table so I have something to wear next week. This one is not quite by the "book," but it will give me a solid foundation for a second and third attempt later on. I thought about doing Scooby's hunting badger sporran first, but decided he would do homework while I worked on his sporran, but probably not while I worked on my kilt.

Scotch?
Yeah buddy!
I'll bring a bottle of some sort of distilled spirits of a Scottish nature. Just don't light a flame near it.
Just kidding. Leaving the Everclear home this year.
I'll bring a bottle of Scotch.

As I noted off topic, Scooby's grandfather passed away last night; our plans for the weekend, especially his mother's, are understandably unsettled. If we can't join you, please think of us.
