Would anyone be interested in magnetic backs for kilt pins?
Hey gang,
I am looking at ordering some magnetic name plate holders to use for some kilt pins I am thinking of making. Only problem is that I have to buy a box of 25 lol. So I thought I'd see if anyone here would like to buy a few. They are 1/2" wide x 1-3/4" long. and look like this:
Think they will probably be $3 shipped, but won't know for sure until I get them ordered. Just kicking it around as I really only want 5 of these hehe.

I could use one (1). Going to be tough to get rid of the rest.

Are these those super strong rare earth magnets? If so I'd take two or three sets, depending on the final cost.
Best regards,
Jake

The site doesn't specify that they are rare earth....
From the site "Extra strong and secure, our double magnetic fastener is the ideal choice for all name badges. No more holds in your fine fabrics, no more pins and clips to deal with. This is a super strong magnetic badge fastener that works with heavy fabrics, including suit coats, and your name badge will stay in place until you take it off."
I'll email them back and see if they are rare earth or not.

Ah good find, I like the idea of the 3 magnets! And I would gladly keep all 10 around for projects. I couldn't find any of them cheaper than the ones I posted. I think I will be buying these instead thank you!

Cool, I might get some of those to make braille lables for my canned food. Thanks for the link.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Ted, One of my friends from high school had a Dymo printer that did braille. It was just like the hand operated ones that did the raised letters, just the dial was in both braille and alpha-numerical. More expensive to buy in the begining, but you could label the entire house lol.

If they help cure knee pain, McNulty might be interested.
