Thanks guys,
Ted sounds right on. For personal reasons have an aversion to some furs including skunk, coyote, badger, seal, especially with the dead head on...do love my hair on buffalo.
Guess its time for another look at the L&M design your own sporran website.
Still, so weird..."formal" around here is reasonably new jeans, maybe ironed, your best boots shined, a white dressy shirt - preferrably with western styling, and a western style sport coat and bola tie or elegant beads...
Hmmm, turquoise beads over the waistcoat with an inlaid turquoise cantle and turquoise handled sgian dubh....hmmmm....
And did wanna look at the formal pics thread but on my dial up it takes eons for the high pixel pics then there comes a time where I just get the red X's then have go to to each red X and click "show picture" and wait some more.
But thanks guys.

That would look awesome!
Dangit Ron!
Now I'm not going to be able to concentrate on work at all today. Instead I'll be thinking of how sweet that inlaid cantle would be and how to pull off a turquoise handled sgian....
Thanks. This is more fun than work anyway.

It is my belief that Formal is Formal be it in Toronto, LA, New York, London, Glasgow, or heck even Page Arizona. I think it would be a shame for you to go ahead with such a nice made to measure Prince Charlie rig and then wear a sporran that just doesn't go. I'd say the best thing would be to go through the L&M Sporran builder and make something that is unique to you, then order it from Matt or another L&M dealer, or possibly find a Ferguson Britt that you are not ethically opposed to.
