    Kilts incoming...

Got a couple of emails yesterday stating "your kilt is coming!" Woo Hoo!

First, About 2 weeks ago (thanks to Puffer, McMurdo and David White) I bought one of the sale priced WPG Gordons--just had to experience a 22oz regimental kilt. Their warehouse was closed for the holidays so it didn't ship until yesterday....

And back in October I ordered a semi trad in the American Heritage tartan from USAK (my first custom ordered kilt). It was due in the queue around the 10th of December, but shortly before that date I saw a pic of a woolie in Ramsay blue. Had to change horses in mid stream for that one. I called Rocky and upgraded my order to a 16oz 5 Yarder in Ramsay Blue. It's now on route to my front door...

    Am I addicted. or what??

I'll post pics later this week...

That Ramsay Blue material you got is a VERY nice shade of blue... kind of a muted blue. I hadn't done that material before (done lots of Ramsay in PV and a couple Ramsay Red in wool, just not the muted blue), and I will say I really liked the color. That might be my next kilt!

I saw a photo of a guy wearing one and thought ,"Nice tartan!!" I showed it to my wife and she said, "YES!" Then I called you and asked, "Please, can I change my order?"

    Bump... Got the kilts!

The Ramsay is stellar! And a perfect fit! (Thanks Rocky and Kelly!) I'll post a pic or two and a brief review in the USA Kilts section some time this weekend.

The WPG Gordon also fit perfect, and is indeed a woolie beast! Unfortunately, the one I got was a bit catawampus. On the 2 strap side when the straps are buckled in the horizontal stripes are off by about an inch and a half--and it's off all the way down so it's that same length longer at the right knee compared to the left. Needless to say, I'm sending it back for a replacement...
