You can do all the crunches in the world, but if you aren't getting rid of the body fat, you just have a great six pack under a layer of fat. It is not possible to target fat loss at a specific part of the body. Tightening up the muscles can make it appear to do so, but the fat loss comes from body metabolism burning it, nothing else.

Just to relate this to kilt wearing, less gut will make it a lot easier to wear a kilt well.

Of course not. We all like to look our best and wear this neat stuff. I seem to remember a comment by someone's wife that she was in favor of kilts, because it was the first time her guy cared about how he looked.

The Jones of Jones Society of XMTS

There is a very large fraternity of X-Markers into the JONES for some yardage of tartan. We all know it is in process, that the weaver will be doing it soon. We also know that when each of us gets our piece of X-Marks the Scot tartan in polyviscous, it will then be the jones before it becomes a kilt(s) to wrap around ourselves. This is known by some of us as the double jones.

Add to that. While waiting for my X-Marks the Scot tartan, then to become a kilt by Steve Ashton. I have also ordered a Tank in MacNeil of Barra Ancient. When these two kilts are in my Kollection, I will be ordering a Lamont Ancient, to round out the three clans to which I belong and support.
That means I am jonesing to order yet another kilt.
This includes the jones for a kilt pin for each, etc., etc.
