I always loved the Eagles from Space 1999. There were neat because they looked both cool but also practical.

The final shows start this Friday! Our local Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (the beer theater) is showing it on the big screen. I'll be sure to wear my BSG kilt pin when I go...

Zardoz,
Must be quite fun. I have read a bit about the Alamo Drafthouse
Have you ever attended one of the infamous BNATs?
Have

Jamie, I assume you're talking about Butt-numb-a-thons? I know they have them at the old Austin Drafthouse theater, but I don't think they've had one at either of the Houston Drafthouses, not sure why. Our Star Trek club approched them with the idea of a Trek marathon a while back, but it ended up with us voting on a favorite, (Wrath of Khan) and them having a special showing with prizes and a costume contest etc.. But I'd be up for a BNAT if the selection of films were right!

Too cool!!! I would love to see that. I don't remember, did they ever get home in the original series?

There were actually two different series by this name, one might have even been a sequel of the other (I don't recall). Unlike Heroes, all of the kids had the same powers, although they may have manifested in different ways.
I liked the first series better; it had that classic British sci-fi feel to it (inexpensive sets, etc.) The second series was a lot slicker.

Strictly speaking, not Sci Fi, but "The Prisoner" is being rebroadcast this year, ahead of the remake. It had LOTS of advanced technology for the day, and a really cool plotline.
P.S. I was a huge B5 fan, preferred it over BSG when they both come out.
