Just make a loop in the end and pull the bunch of raw ends through. Just once. Like you were putting a knot in the end of a shoe lace because the plastic thingy had fallen off.

Yup - I just described it because I wasn't sure whether people knew what I meant by an overhand knot (which is the term that I used in the instructions).

I followed Barbs instructions when she sent me the material for my plaid a couple years ago now. I watched a lot of Star Trek, and the end result was fantastic.
