Grey (color) tartan query
Good evening rabble--
Are there many predominantly grey tartan sets? Would these be likely to be fashion tartans? I'm curious because I just bought a grey kilted skirt on ebay (and this time I am pretty sure it will fit...). It's mostly grey, both light and dark, with a bit of tan and even less white, and that appears to be all. Understated but beautiful.
I can't get this machine to post a picture off ebay. But I am curious about what this might turn out to be, and about grey tartans you may have known. I am still behind the curve with digital cameras but would like to send pics when I can take them or get them taken.

Well, let me see..
I am a fan of the Nightstalker tartan from Stillwater,
The Gray Granite tartan,
And some day off in the future, I will have a kilt in the best of all, Highland Granite tartan.
They are all fashion tartans.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Thanks for reminding me of the Highland Granite, Ted! I'd forgotten about, and moved on from it, and now... lusting again.
Anyway, do you have a link to the ebay auction, Ealisaid?

There is a function on Scotweb that allows you to search for tartans that include a certain color, and grey is one of the colors listed. Unfortunately is does not specifically only show you ones with grey as the dominant color, but at least that is a start.

There is also the Thompson Grey.
