This is why I love kilts

I spent last week skiing at Whistler Blackcomb in BC with my wife and her family. The skiing was great, even if it wasn't the greatest snow they've ever had. On Wed night, we went out for dinner to Rim Rock, and since it's usually about 5000 degrees in there, I wore my SWK standard MacLaren with lovat blue hose from W Brewin and a very light sweater. I was very comfortable throughout dinner. On our way out, I was the last in line through the restaurant. A very attractive blonde waitress brushed her fingertips down my back and said, "Love the kilt."

It's days like this that make me never want to stop kilting!

It's ESPECIALLY days like that. The comments from the lasses are always a treat.

Hm haven't had that yet... most of the time they are trying to figure out how to say ''what's under your kilt'' in english :S (often here small groups discussing how to ask it when im at a terrace or so)

But attention from alot of ladies is indeed guaranteed when wearing the kilt!

Thanks for sharing the experience - always fun to hear stuff like it.

The best compliment that I ever had from a woman was, "It [the kilt] looks good on you. You wear it well."

At my age, I usually get the "very distinguished" Scottish Gentleman bit, -> is my wife's usual response.

The first time my fiance' or my co-workers saw me in a kilt, they said it looked perfectly natural, like I was meant to wear it. I consider that a compliment! I still say that even the most casual kilted ensemble looks a whole lot 'dressier' than your standard trouser outfits do. Women recognize the effort.

A very similar incident happened to me one New Years Eve in a resturant in Portland Maine. As I left the table with my wife a very attractive waitperson whispered to me that she thought I was very hansome. Great way to meet girls.

There is just something about a man in a kilt that most women find very attractive, thank God.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Kind Regards,

    David.
