One of my all-time favorite shows as a kid! Have changed my avatar to honor him for the now....

A fitting tribute. A local critic reordered the episodes of "The Prisoner" for the local public television station some years back. D. Scott Appel researched the series both before and after its acquisition by CBS, whose show order had been gospel, and reordered the series into what he called a traditional three act format. I taped those episodes, in his order and with his commentary, off the air and still have the tapes. The link below lists the KETH(sic) order and a "McGoohan" order, but McGoohan was said to have blessed the Appel order.

"The Prisoner" was one of the smartest TV series ever written (IMHO, of course). So I guess the appropriate question is, who is number 1 now?
