Have you heard of the Loud MacLeod (MacLeod Dress)? Not exactly Drab.

Turpin, thanks for the Scotweb link – that is an awesome tartan finder, far superior to the Electric Scotland one. The Dunn tartan is quite nice – I rather fancy myself in that rich purple. Unfortunately it belongs to a bloke called Dunn living in Toronto and it is copyright to him and his immediate family.

If you like Purple, here is the Warrior Tartan (non-clan)

Take your time. There are many, many options. I took these from the USA kilts Website. Rocky Roeger of USAK is a valued member and sponsor here.

Welcome from Scotland. Don't be afraid to wear it. The first time may be your worst as you feel a bit self concious. After your first compliment you will be loving it.

from Chicago. You might consider MacLeod of Harris which, while bright, is not as loud as the MacLeod Tartan Turpin posted.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
