Here are a couple more, posted in the pictures section.

It was a good time, indeed. It was good to meet some of you for the first time, and see others of you again. For those unable to join us, you were missed.

Our server took me aside at one point and asked me about our gathering. One of the higher-ups in the management of the place wears a kilt from time to time, so our server already understood that part. Now he knows that folks who like kilts (or folks who like people who happen to wear kilts) gather socially from time to time.

Thanks! Looks like you had a good time. Wish I'd been able to make it! Oh well, next time.
Could you put names to faces for me? Curious as to who's who.

I'm terrible with names. The one I'm most able to remember is the guy in the saffron SWK, third from the left: Tom, aka bikeolounger.

I am only slightly less bad with names than Tom, so here goes (from the left):

Can't remember his name but he came with Rachel, then Spencer (? xmarks handle), then Tom (aka, Bikeolounger), then Sandy (aka JSFMALJR), Carter (no handle) and his dad Jeff (ForresterModern), and Hector (Hospitaller).

There were significant others in the pictures and gathering as well---my wife Caroll, Jen (with Tom), Rachel (with the guy whose name I can't remember) and Sandy's wife (whose name also excapes me now). I think we need a program next time.

    Names

On the left is Andy, who typically posts on other forums as Andy HPADC. I've not seen him post here, but I don't read every post.

I didn't get good pictures of the wonderful non-kilted members of our group, but Jeff (I think) took this one with my camera, of Jenn and me.

The angle of the shot gives the impression that I'm wearing my SWK Saffron heavy a bit low on the knees. I assure you that is not the case. I am going to have to find a source for some different colors of kilt hose than what are in the Locharron offerings. The lovat blue are a bit, well, greenish to suit me, and their dark blue don't suit me with a saffron kilt. My sporran had moved to the right a bit and I hadn't realized it until after the picture was taken.

Her skirt is a kilted skirt of Robertson tartan. It is on loan from my mother, as she rarely wears skirts these days. My stepfather has some Robertson heritage, hence the choice of tartan, but the provenance of the skirt is a bit more complicated than that.

I'm Spencer, the one a bit out of sorts....I don't own a Sporran or Kilt hose yet, and my kilt isn't as long as it looks....it had just slid down a bit to cover my knees...

Hopefully my next kilt will fit better.(but what can you expect from a kilt bought off the rack?)

Nice to see you both - in pictures at least - again.

    Regards from upriver,
    Rex.

The angle of the shot is the result of my unfortuate 6'5" height combined with a bit of wide angle lens effect in shooting down to get both faces and kilts in the picture. Tom's kilt was flawlessy appropriate in length, wear and style. You guys both looked great.
Maybe next time I will have to either sit down or kneal to take similar pictures (note to self--wife does not like me knealing in a kilt due to unexpected and unwanted visual effects on surrounding crowd).

Sorry my picture of the two of you did not make the transfer from camera to computer or I would have posted it with my posting earlier
