Spencer, I think you looked just fine. Well, for a guy, that is... And I didn't have a sporran for my first couple of kilt nights, either.

Seriously, as I told you on the phone earlier that day, it wasn't about how spiffy your outfit would be, it was about the socializing. It's like I tell bicycle folks when I'm teaching. The gear doesn't make you faster. What makes you faster is how you use the gear. I've seen folks ride VERY well on inexpensive stuff.
