snip... I was much more informed this time around and I purchased a polyviscose. I was finally able to wear it on Friday to work. It was a little stiff, but I think once I wash it that will go away. However, during the time I wore it I never found it to be the most comfortable thing to wear. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed wearing it, but it just was not as comfortable as a pair of jeans.
Out of curiosity, if you don't mind stating, where did you get the kilt from? I was curious b/c I've never heard anyone say that PV is 'stiff' or uncomfortable, unless they're talking about the 'Designed in Scotland' (NOTE: Not 'MADE in Scotland') import kilts.
I like all my kilts, but the most comfortable for all day wear (IMO) are the four yard box pleated ones. There are somewhat lighter in weight, and very well balanced, being equal amounts of fabric front and back.

It was a gift, so I will look into it. It might not be made in Scotland. Also, it is not really uncomfortable. I enjoyed wearing it. But it is not something I could wear all day. Do you see what I mean? It is hard to explain. When I told my wife she just looked at me with a blank stare.
