I just happen to know that McMurdo owns a seal skin sporran (and possibly a kilt). Not that I want to get him in trouble . Call me spindle shanks will he.

Yeah, but on your side of the border it's no big deal. No Fair ! (just one thing amongst several that I can think of, actually).
Not that I really wanted one anyway.
Hard to believe that they have the extra resources to be doing this kind of thing as opposed to some other stuff they could be doing.

Does this mean I have to worry about the Sporran Police as well as Kilt Police?
Cryin' out loud... is this a case of your VAT dollars at work?

Seal skin sporrans are bad enough...
Could you imagine 8 yard kilts made of seal pelts? That's a lot of seals.

What's weird for me is I thought that outfit was out of business in Palm Springs - based on past threads on this forum....??
Last line cracked me up, that the store's owner was unavailable for comment....also sounds like previous posts to this forum.
Gonna be interesting how this all shakes out, despite the reporter's ignorance. Judges usually demand some pretty strong reasons before issuing a search warrant. Sounds like the tail end of an investigation with the Feds tracking sealskin sporran shipments to the U.S.
Do keep us posted.

Yes Grant I do have a sealskin sporran, and wore it at the Burns Dinner, you can see it here.

Now as for a Sealskin kilt, I really do not have one of those

A sealskin kilt? NOT.
I would go farther; when reading or hearing a report of every event of which I had personal knowledge, in every case the report was mistaken or misleading in some way. From that experience I must conclude that all other media reports are almost certainly inaccurate as well.
