I am the proud owner of the same buckle and a 'fan' of Laphroaig. Good combo!

Likewise! I love mine.
McKee has a few other things I'd like too.
This buckle is stunning!

Does Don have his own website, or are his items only available through other parties?

I think this buckle was purchased from the Celtic Croft (it was a B'day present)

BTW, if you look at the buckles on the Celtic Croft website, they offer an open thistle design by Mckee that is simply stunning. If it is anywhere near as heavy and well made as this one, it should be a serious consideration. I didn't know how heavy this would be. If I had, I might have lobbied for the thistle instead. As it is this, I have no regrets--it is a St Andrews Cross framing an endless celtic knot inside an endless celtic knot...quite unique, and made of pewter not chrome!!

Say...I don't mean to hijack my own thread but I drink Laphroig 15 neat. But the literature that comes with the Quarter Cask says that it is bottled at 48%. Does that mean that it will benefit from a few drops of water?

The few drops of water you mention can be added to dilute even 40%, if that's you're taste.
