Yes when at the games I'm apt to use my Crommach as below, also as often as the weather permits this is how I dress at the games as well.

As you can see by how drenched my cohorts are the Balmoral does come in handy from time to time

IMHO, there are 2 reasons to "carry a Stick"
1. Fashion ( see McMurdoc & Jamie )
2 PRACTICAL (why I CARRY)
a. TERRAIN ( see RiverKilt)
b .Defense

Well summed up!
What other object looks and feels so good in the hand?
What other accessory helps you up and down steep inclines and assists you in making certain that the next step will take your weight ?
What other bit of kit can brush a bit of rubbish aside with a flick of the wrist or be raised to defend against man or beast?
All this and at the same time give us comfort and support as we travel on through life.
A good walking stick is a very good thing indeed.
Cheers

All these collections are making me want to expand my own. Right now I have only the one, collected and produced by myself from my father's property 20 odd years ago. Never felt the need for another, until now.
Here it is out hiking.

I'll add to the practical. I have arthritic knees, and a balance problem, so I always use a stick. Therefore by extension I always carry/use a stick with the kilt, just a slightly different style.

That looks like a malacca cane Jamie. I have a very similar victorian one which has a silver mushroom top. I love it and use it when it fits in with what I am wearing.

Does anyone know of a source in the US/Canada for hazel stick blanks of the type that McMurdo is holding above? I recently found a nice horn crook and now just need the hazel stick blank.
Cordially,
David
