    Hi

    Hello everybody!
I am honoured to be acceted as a member at your Forum.

I am very close to the Scottish Culture being married with a (fantastic) Scottish girl. In the last 15 years I have been often in the Glasgow area.

We are going to partecipate to a wedding of a my wife's cousin in Scotland at the beginning of April '09 and planning to dress Kilts (myself and my 5 yo son). Yes, why not, it is ages since I wanted to do and it it cudl be a perfect occasion.

With this regard can anybody help me as follows:

    - What Tartan you suggest we could wear for the occasion, recalling ofcourse we are Italians (at least I am, my son could be considered 50-50)? Is theer any "official" Italian Tartan?

    - Which are exactly the sizes we should measure and provided to the shop where we wll rent the Kilts?

I thank you in advance all those will give me a suggestion and help.
    Ciao
    Andrea

from coastal North Carolina. There is an Italian tartan and an Italian National tartan, both showing as special weave on Scotweb. http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartan?filt...on_id=8Df9xgbu.

Are you planning to buy the kilt or rent? Rental will limit you choice some.

    from Seattle!

Like it has been stated before, if you're going to rent, your choices are rather limited. If you are going to buy, then take a look at the Italian tartans.
