    Time Tunnel (1966 Series)

I am reminiscing and watching the first season of Irwin Allen's Time Tunnel.

Season 1, Episode 5: The Last Patrol

    Watch it on Hulu http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi2110324761/

    Original Air Date—7 October 1966
In 1815 one of the final battles of the War of 1812 was fought near New Orleans, Lousiana. Doug and Tony materialize behind British lines and soon find themselves in the custody of Colonel Southall, a man history records as "The Butcher" because of a disastrous mistake attacking the strongest side of Andrew "Old Hickory" Jackson's fortifications. Southall believes the chrononauts can supply tactical information and he'll stop at nothing to get it. Meanwhile, Southall's descendant, a general in the modern British Army, visits the TicToc complex to explain what his ancestor is likely to do. But General Southall, unknown to anyone else, is dying - and so it may well be his actions that are the most unpredictable.
    From IMDB

At the end, when Southhall attacks Jackson, the piper's lead with the regiment following, kilted.

Fun show, don't get too deep in the "reality" because it was designed as entertainment, kind of a "History Channel" to get us at least interested in more than dates!

This series is the next on my list to purchase. I received the first season of "The Wild, Wild West" for Christmas and have to get seasons 2, 3 and 4 before moving on.

My local library has a great selection of DVDs, so many times I just borrow from them.

This was one of those that I loved growing up.

I didn't realize this show was only on for one season. I remember several of the episodes quite vividly from the first time they aired even though I was only 8 at the time.
