On Thursday, I was wandering around the Salvation Army store near my school, and what did I happen to come across but a BEAUTIFUL, excellent condition, 100% wool, ladies' kilted skirt complete with buckles and kilt pin, and perfect pleats for $6.99!!
I carried it around the store for awhile, and even tried it on...no luck - didn't fit. For a moment, I even thought, "Well, I've been trying to lose weight"...but, alas, better sense prevailed and I realized that it was a size which I am not likely to see ever again (I've lost a bit of weight, but I'm two sizes larger than this lovely skirt)!!
If any of you X-Marks gals or X-Marks wives would be interested in a size 14 kilted skirt, let me know, and I can check to see if it is still there on Monday.

I have a 13 yr old daughter who would LOVE to have a kilted skirt and this one sounds like it would fit her pretty well. I havent been able to afford one for her and she wouldn't be caught dead in mine (it's too long for her)! If you'd be kind enough to contact me here at my profile, we can talk if it is not already claimed by someone else. Thanks! Trela

Thanks, Rex. When I see things that make a model's hips look big. . . riiiiiiiiiight. I was just in attendance at the Queen Mary festival, don't need to increase the resemblance to her stern!

Pastor Nan, and her nifty, conservative Black Watch long jacket and dark pleated skirt. Cell phone pics. but...
and with some soul that desperately needs all the saving he can get.

I believe that you're mistaken, that's not a photo of me.

Dear ladies and gentlemen of the Rabble,
I'm planning my clothing for a wedding-- outside, I think, in a garden in the afternoon. Is it silly or OK to wear a sash with brooch along with a not-floor-length kilted skirt? What do you all think? I will wear a blouse with jabot, the sash, and my slightly-below-the-knee kilted skirt. And kinda high heels (with spare dancing shoes for after).

I think that sounds like a nice-looking outfit.
