    Thanks
No she did not look impressed at all, the younger one came running over to me it was pretty funny, anyway the hose were from a special promotion that Redshanks Scotland had going on a little while ago, I now you can order them from Peter at Canadian casual kilts, his user name here is MacHummel.

Yeah? We have a 10k nighttime ski/snowshoe race this weekend across frozen Chequamengon Bay on the real big lake (Superior).

Yes, Glen, I thought your lake would be frozen at this time of year, so how come you need an icebreaker ferry in Toronto harbour if the lake doesn't freeze? It looks like spring has arrived over there in Ontario, when you say most of the snow has melted and there is very little snow in your pics. We still have a few inches of snow in the garden here and it is snowing again this evening.

    Banks of Lake Ontario

Lake Ontario is very deep at the west end ( 600+ ft.) and does not freeze over. It will freeze between Toronto Island and the main land which is shallow. I think the east end will freeze over because it is shallow. Lake Erie although further south will freeze over because it is much shallower particularly at the west end. A larger number of ice fishermen were caught out on an ice flow and had to be rescued off the Ohio shore.

A couple of years ago someone wanted me to take me ice fishing..... But I couldn't find the right fly. Nyuk, nyuk! Were those stranded ice fishers out of Cleveland?
