You know what'd worse than the kilt jones?

The homebrew jones! I brewed Irish Stout this afternoon. It's in the fermenter now. It'll be ready for bottling in about a week and then it has to age until St. Patrick's Day. I hate waiting that long!

Ah yes the homebrew jones. I have not done that in a wee bit. I think I'll work on a batch this week. I like tae make it strong and you can't see through it at all. One pint and yer on the path tae happy. Good luck with your batch.

Ye sound like a man after me own heart. I've had friends joke that they need a fork and knife to enjoy some of my brews.

At one time I made my own ginger beer - the real stuff, with real ginger root -brewed in a gallon jar before diluting and bottling. Glorious drunk cold in summer or warm in winter. I think I still have the recipe somewhere.

The only thing to do is keep on making brews, bottling it up, brewing more, drinking, bottling more, so that after a while you have always got something to drink on hand.

The only limiting factor is the number of bottles you have.

Yup, what Pleater said. Keep the production going so you will never have to jones again...

Have to disagree... the worst thing is waiting for shellac to set before I can place books on the shelves in the library at my home that took nearly ten months to complete. Just another three weeks to go...

    Bob,

I would prescribe a gin and tonic to alleviate the jonesing.*

Unless you "make" your own "gin". Not that I would, but the time from yeast build to your last run through the kettle can qualify as a "true" jones.ith:
