Do you have knowledge of Canadian bands playing at the tattoo? Mind you, all the bands that were there when I played were local, that is, NJ, NY, CT, etc. These local bands are never paid a cent to perfrom...

The CADET pipe band does this, not the Academy nor the Garrison. We have an annual budget of about $5000 which we have to utilize to pay for transportation to events, pipes and drums, instrument repair, music, kilts, sporans, dry cleaning, etc. None of it is tax dollars, all of it comes from donations or money raised through the cadet activities fund. NO admission is charged for the event either. This is open to the public free of charge. The only money our band makes from the Tattoo is from the sale of Tshirts.
