Talking The Bear Tartan Box-pleated kilt

And here is my latest pride and joy!

And according to Chris ("Beartartan"), it may be the very first box-pleat of the Bear Tartan.

    The insides:

My hands and fingers are feeling it! This baby is handsewn (with minor machine-stitching: flashes, the inside of the waistband).

It may be time for a drink:

    Thanks Mael for the Glenlivet!

My baby is now on its way to its owner in St. Pete, FL, just in time for his square dance fly-in/hoedown tomorrow. I hope he'll send me pics of him wearing it.

(Oh look! With this post, my counter hit 600. If I could only do so well in bowling!

Actually, Mein, it does seem like it all went very quickly once you decided how to pleat the tartan. Kind of cool that it's probably the first Bear box.

Hope your friend loves it, and thanks for posting us through it.

Ted, this post is analogous to TV magic -- times goes faster and voila, you have the product . It seemed to take a long time for me...

I hope he likes it... (I hope it fits well!)

Ya, I understand; the on lookers didn't have to do anything.

You know... I've been thinking that this tartan needs a paw print cap badge to go with it...

    I'm looking too.

I might have to make one from ceramics, then have it cast in brass or pewder... Or just make it from ceramic and use it that way...
