Getting in the R M P
I called the RMP this afternoon and was told we would be welcomed to eat/drink at the bar as long as there is room. With our spot(s) on the wait list, I think we jave a good chance to be seated for the festivities. Surely others who RSVP won't make it for some reason. I would really like to try to get in for the Burns dinner.
I will leave work early and hit the road to try to make the 6 seating time. But we know how traffic is on 95. It would be important for you other guys who can get there as soon as possible to grab seats when they come up.
Mein if you can't make it till 6:30 we'll save a seat for you! My wife will be staying home with the kids.
If we can't get in, then the fall back would be McGinty's
What say, you?

I'm delighted to hear that a good turnout is expected. Nora & I would love to be with you but we both have bronchitis & can't believe that would be a welcome contribution to the event. We sincerely hope we'll have better luck next time.
The editor in me sincerely thanks everyone who has shown Burns the respect implicit in spelling his name correctly instead of putting an apostrophe in it.
Best wishes to all,
Ian

Ian,
Sorry we're going to miss you. We'll raise a toast to you and Nora, and the guys who could have made it but can't.
Hope you both feel and get better soon.

Got the okay, to cut out early on my job, tomorrow. Checked, today all the fluids and tire pressure on the truck to be ready for the long haul to MD. Got my mapquest route ready, too. (Haven't advance yet to a GPS.) Now I just need to get to bed as 5:45 comes around mighty early.
