So how did you spend your (kilted...of course) Valentine's Day?
I was just wondering how the rest of the rabble spent their "kilted" Valentine's Day.
Personally, we have friends in town for the long weekend. So, Valentine's Day was spent hanging out in our back courtyard with a fire in the outdoor fireplace and roasting a bushel of oysters.

How about your day? Kilt of choice?

Regularly scheduled day of work. The only place that I wear trousers (OSHA).
Rest of day in USAF Sportkilt with spouse in Lamont ancient. Each reading a book with classical music in the background. Cooked up a special dinner, cards and hugs exchanged.

Me? I started off with Valentine's presents with my wife. Then I was off to First Robotics where I mentor a team of High School students. They design and build a robot for competition. I returned home 6 hours later and we had another Valentine's celebration.
Evening was spent celebrating my wife's birthday. That's right, she was born on Valentine's Day. Great day!

Bottled some beer. Spend a bunch of time with my wife (aka the woman I've been living with for nearly 39 years), did some cooking and had lobster and steak for dinner.

WAS going to wear, Bruce Kilt and smart accessories to my great mate Karen's wedding. She's a Scouser and the wedding was in Liverpool and she'd asked me to come in my Kilt. I had a last minute change of heart though as kilts are not every day in 'the Pool' and the last thing I wanted was all the the other guests going 'eh, eh, look, a bloke in a kilt' when they should have been going 'eh, eh, look, a bird in a wedding dress' so I went in a conservative suit.
She was not happy.
It was a good Do though all the same...

Well, my wife is spending the weekend with her sisters in the Calilfornia wine country, I guess I can't complain, she changed her original date for this so that we could attend the local Burns Supper. So I am a bachelor with my twa youngest sons, after a morning in my gargage work jeans and after bathing two dogs I have been the rest of the day in my Weathered MacKenzie and a nice grey Shetland wool cable sweater just hanging out- cleaning house, playing with the critters and making dinner- oh and just watched Man on Wire. And With a wee dram of Talisker. So there you have it- may day!

Spent running errands, gym and grocery shopping in my UK. Nothing special.
The day before Valentine's was a different story. Went to the opera (La Boheme) kilted in an SWK Irish saffron. I had multiple requests from the ladies for a photo with them. (?!?) Didn't expect that. Especiallly since each was with a date, who photographed me with their lady. I guess it must have been the power of the kilt.

Worked from 6 to 12. Stopped by the pharmacy to pick up drugs. Picked up flowers for the darling wife. Also picked up corsage for wife. I was never able to take her to prom or homecoming. Primed the oil furnace with kerosene and took shower to got out to Fraternal order of Police Oyster feed at local fire hall. Had tee many martunies and dance to chicken dance. then came home and attempted to type this. Listening to Barley Juice thre head phones. See my thread about FOP dinner. I'll explain later. when I get sober. Wife loved corsage. Her first. cant type after drinkin'.

Reason: typing while drunk not bad.

A huge Japanese dinner awaited the lovely F-H.C.A.G. (who had to work today) when she got home.
