    If I recall correctly Mael had an Ardbeg. I hadn't had Caol Ila before, it was quite good. Will have to add it to my Islay collection.

    Yes, I think you're correct - Ardbeg.

    Oh, the 5-course dinner was quite good too.

    -Appetizers: Potted Salmon, Potato pancakes with salmon caviar, mini shepherd's pie.
    -Soup: Cock-A-Leekie soup
    -Fish: Hot Smoked Salmon with Whisky Beurre Blanc on Kale greens
    -Entree: Haggis with Neeps and Mash
    or Leg of Lamb with Colcannon
    -Dessert: Frozen Whisky Cream with Earl Grey Syrup (with a piece of plum)

    Great pictures and like the idea of a group participation in Tam O' Shanter

    Pity more people weren't kilted but would Rabbie really mind as he wasn't a wearer himself.

    Indeed - the reading of the Tam O'Shanter by several audience members (anybody who wanted to do it) was quite a hoot, what with the whiskies taking effect.

    The food was delicious. The Haggis was quite spicy. I enjoyed the Scotch Egg that svc40bt had ordered before dinner.

    In any case, the following day, I returned to my vegetarian/vegan diet...
