Thanks for explaining that, Mein.
That group of the seven equal sized stripes kind of in the middle of the sett is interesting... Guess that would really show up on the apron.

At a glance it looks like one of those fake tartans you see at walmart,
but it's just the way the brighter colors merge.
Why is it called the Bear tartan? Is there a Clan Bear that I'm not aware of?

I'm not sure what you mean by "fake tartans you see at walmart," but most people seem to think it is a lovely tartan.
