But is that a natural ability or is it bestowed by some device, similar to the Ring of Spam Resistance?

I'm a mod on our labor union site - an intense, high traffic, brawling forum.
This is where I come to relax. You guys do terrific work.

Reason: keeping it in line
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

So, have the trolls been banished to the dungeons of the Great Hall?
It is the feeling of community, fellowship and respect for one another that keep us all coming back day after day to this site. The family that sticks together as we do can certainly grow and prosper (as we have )

I like the general civility of the place, myself. I did not notice the trolls, but have not been here much the last few days, either. Everyone has a choice in how they respond. Jamie is merely complimenting the choices that several of you made. I second his compliment !
Well done, all involved !

Wow! Like Howard Clark, I was away last week and apparently missed all the commotion. I'm glad you guys held the fort down in my absence. Lurking is a very important job that I hold dearly. I hope you don't think you can start getting along without my minimal participation.

Some online forums are gardens and some are cesspools. A big thank you to the Mods for watering the flowers and digging out the weeds.
Cheers!

Why do they do this?
My money is on the fact that their mothers did not give them enough hugs as a child, and now they feel the need to cause havoc in an anonymous way, an electronic version of pulling someone's pigtails or stealing their homework assignment, but in a way that prevents them from being caught.
Either that, or they just have nothing better to do than flame forums and pretend that they are some 133t h4x0rz. or something. I'm surprised some trolls have even figured out how to type on a keyboard...
