I don't know much about Ghillie shoes, but the only issue I really have with wearing any low cut shoe is whether it has a rounded toe or a pointed toe. I don't like wearing low cut shoes with pointed toes. No problem with pointed cowboy boots for some reason.
If there are Ghillie shoes with rounded toes, and I am supposed to wear them, it's not a problem. Same goes for the shoes with the buckles.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
